SONY WALKMAN NWZX1060B X SRIES- ITUNES-TRANSFER.

I am thinking of purchasing the SONY WALKMAN NWZX1060B X SERIES,(yes i do know its faults, but for me its the sound of the music.)
At the moment i have a 32g IPOD TOUCH, so all my music files are on ITUNES, the walkman claims to be compatable with ITUNES,
is that the case & is there an easy way of putting all my ITUNES files onto the WALKMAN.
i tried putting some music from itunes on to my wifes NWZ-A818, & it would not work.

The Sony X Series will support AAC files (the default iTunes format) but won't synchronise directly with the iTunes software.

What to do is find the directory in which your iTunes library files are stored, and transfer them to your X Series by another means (e.g. synchronising through Windows Media Player).

I know the the destination of the itunes library, but how do i sync it to media player.
If i try to play a itune track on media player it says file not playable.

Ah sorry, the files would need to be converted first. My mistake... D'oh!

You should be able to drag-and-drop them into the Music folder on your X Series instead - just do it all via accessing the drive through My Computer.

If you files are in AAC then WMP will not play them back as it is not a supported format. You can convert them to MP3 then add them to the WMP library; although as Alan says you may find it simpler to just drag and drop on to the player through My Computer instead.

However, please note that the AAC support on the player will not work with protected AAC so you may want to double check the properties of the songs in iTunes to double check first of all.

Thanks for your reply, yes that works dragging them from the itunes folder in my music to the walkman, but i am not getting any album art, is it possible to add album art from itunes files.
As nearly all my music is in itunes, its not going to look that great without album art on the walkman.
I am now going to buy downloads from play & amazon.
