sony nwz-a818 display repair?

as display of my player was broken by accident is it possible to buy online a replacement for it and change it by myself?

or the safest way is to visit some sony repair center?

the problem is that the player was brought in the states, and i live in bulgaria

I broke my display two days ago and have contacted sony to repair it. i was told that because it was accidental damage its not under warranty and that they charge a fixed price for any audio product, £71 to be more specific. seeing as though i paid £90 there is no chance I will be handing that much over to them so am looking for a replacement lcd. if anyone knows where i can get one it would be great.

is it possible to fit other 2" screen? from phone or something else

I wouldn't know about that, the only physical thing I've done to a player is change an iPod battery.

Might be worth asking at forums aimed at Sony users in particular - I think ATRAClife.com has a fair bit about them, and AnythingButiPod.com or DAPreview.net might help too, they occasionally have x guides for players so it's worth a shot.
