Please can someone help
After taking many months to persuade my husband to scrap his ipod I bought him a Sony NWZA829KB Walkman for his birthday. We have over 2000 spmgs to go onto his Walkman, but I have been having terrible problems with the transfer process. Have tried using Windows Media Player, drag and drop and the Sony software that comes with the MP3 player.

I have had various results, from the transfer process taking nearly six hours to complete, no cover art transfering to some of the cover art transfering, but always very long transfer times. MP3 files are kept on an external hard drive, have also tried copying onto PC drive and copying from there.

Please can some help!

I'd definitely have them stored on a PC first before transferring, that would save you some time, especially if your external hard drive is connected via USB.

You may be using a USB 1.1 port rather than a USB 2.0 port, which is much faster. On a lot of machines, if there is a USB port at the front of the tower it is 1.1, so if you're not already doing so I'd suggest using a port at the back.

Do you happen to know what the titles for the album art files are? i.e. something.jpg

What's the average size of a file you're transferring?
