Non in-ear headphones

I'm hoping to get myself a Cowon S9 and would like a decent pair of headphones that I can carry around in my bag easily. I've had problems in the past using in-ear headphone, I found them very uncomfortable and painful even when using the smallest bud.
What would be the best headphone to go for? I listen to a lot x music, soundtracks and random stuff and am looking to spend around £50-100.

For the x genre, you need a set of headphones that can offer good clarity. From my experience, x doesn't have to be too powerful, it's the upper frequencies that matter: flutes, violins, oboes etc.

That being said, within your price range I'd suggest the Denon AH-D1001 for the quality, but they're not too portable because they don't fold. There is a carrying pouch included though.

For a more portable option, you may want to look at the Sennheiser PX200's, which are on special offer right now. You won't get the same quality on them, and they're more suited for a x, but they're conveniently foldable to make them extremely portable.

Yeah I would have recommended the Radiopaq, but they're inner-ear...
