MP3 Mystery

Hi,
I have some .mp3 designated files that only plays in Real Player (it says they are mp3 96kbps) and not in any others such as Windows Media Player or be opened by mp3 converters.
Can anyone shed light on this mystery? Or to find out what kind of files they are?

If you right-click on the file and click on Properties, it should show you exactly what the filetype is.

It should also tell you if the file is copy protected or not, which may explain why it won't play in other applications.

Some mp3s that can be downloaded illegally are not even real music and wont play in any software, they are viruses or links in disguise, my friend had some and these are just pointless and even messed up his PC!!!

Dont know if this could happen if your files are dodgy, thats why I dont use those dangerous programs!

yea.. i guess dats the answer.. u should check d bitrate before u donload a music, anywae still a mystery for me.. can u give me an idea between flash players and mp3 portable, which one is more better?
