How can you compact your songs further than mp3s?

yes... see my mp3 player is only 235 mb and i cant fit enough songs. there should be a way though because my md player uses discs of 80 mb but can hold up to 70 songs, whereas my mp3 player which is 235 mb can only cary about 60.

can anyone help me? :blink:

ps i think my md player is able to record in an sp mode. is this what i need do for my mp3 player? and how? my mp3 player works like a flash drive so i couldn't hook it up to the same prog as the md player

Well as far as I see it, ogg vorbis takes less space, but I doubt if your player will be able to play them. Also, you could try to drop the quality of your mp3's. Maybe convert them to mono or encode them at 128k. The smaller size does have it's price though.

If your player supports WMA files then you can put them on, their about the same size as OGG and they are both about half the size of MP3!
