Hi can anyone tell me if i can transfer music from my pc to my ipod (5g) and from my ipod to my pc using a firewire connection ? if so how?.

erm I cant remember reading any problems regarding this. I guess all you'd need would be a firewire ipod lead. I found a few on a google search but not on Apple's webpage.

Hi thankyou for your reply i have been unable to find a firewire cable on google or any other site the only ones i have found state that they are not suitable for the 5g video ipods to transfer data with they will only charge the battery.
Can you send me details of the ones you have seen that will let me transfer data too and from to my ipod.
As far as I know apple removed the firewire capabilities from the new iPods (5th gen) I found this out when i tried to transfer my music to my sister's nano :angry:
