D2+ connection issues

Hi,
Can anyone help, please. It relates to a Cowon D2+ Dab model recently purchased. Whilst switched off the unit is connected to the PC via usb cable, the Cowon displays a usb symbol and text that the battery is being charged. On the PC I open and show one file from the Cowon and one from the hard drive. In dragging and dropping the selected file from C-drive to cowon, I get an error message saying that the the Cowon unit is switched off or disconnected. The PC still shows the Cowon folder open, the Cowon is still physically connected to the PC with its unit display but when I go to the “Safely Remove Hardware” on the PC lower right shelf , the Cowon model is not shown (suggesting that it’s not recognised by the PC). This situation still arises even if the Cowon unit is switched on when it is connected to the PC via usb cable. I’m running the firmware that came at time of purchase 4.12 and have viewed Cowon website for updates, this seems to be current as the only higher number v4.59 relates to a Cowon D2 DAB not a D2 + (Plus) DAB and a message on an earlier posting indicates that these are different models.

If you purchased the player from ourselves I'd suggest raising a return with our technical team as it's not likely something which you can resolve at home. Moreover, you can find the details necessary below:

1. Click on the “My Account” link at the top of our website and log into your account (www.amp3.co.uk) *Amazon/Pixmania/Telephone etc customers please see the final paragraph.
2. Click on “Request support or return a product” link
3. Select the order containing the item that you wish to return.
4. Fill in the details on the form, and click on the button at the bottom of the page.
5. Customer Support will then get back to you on a same day basis.

Please use the email address provided at the time of the order to login to your account. A x would have also been sent at the time of your order.
If you have mislaid this, or did not receive one, you can request a new x from the account login screen.
