Cowon D2+ DAB issues

Hi, I've recently bought a Cowon D2+ DAB (16gb) and the unit itself is really neat but I'm finding myself frustrated by 3 seperate issues and have spent most of the last 3 days rather unproductively playing with the unit.
1 - Whilst I've got full Tag details, I've no artwork for any albums even though they're all present on the home computer. The nice peopl at AMP have sent 3 sheets over suggesting that I go through sync with WMP v11 but I'm getting constant error codes about the unit being switched off when plainly it isn't. Why do I loose the artwork but retain Tag details by drag & drop?
2 - I can't delete files on the unit through the computer, I get error messages indicating read only issues and again the unit being switched off.
3 - Don't get me started on trying to place a DVD on the unit, I tried to transfer from my own purchased copy of a BBC publication and got absolutley no-where. Am I right in thinking that
a) I need to rip the DVD first to deal with copyright and region issues - for which I need software
b) I need to convert from BBC VOB format to something that Cowon likes e.g. WMV - for which I need software
C) I then need to run this 3 version through Cowon Media Centre - Jet Audio, before finally drag & drop to the unit
I've read through this again and sense that it's bordering on a rant but it's not meant to be. I just want to fully benefit from what the unit can provide and am frustrated at not being able to do so. I'm quite prepared to accept that I may very likely be a part of my own problem, from lack of knowledge and would be grateful to receive any x that is available out there from more experienced users.
I'm also knew to this posting facility. Thanks to those of you who took the time to read this message.

Hi,

1 - The tags are capable of being copied over as these are saved to the files themselves; although album art will only copy over when Windows Media Player 11 is used. However, you can only sync MP3, WMA and WAV through Windows Media Player so if you are using any other type of files (FLAC, OGG etc) then you'll need to decide whether you would rather have lossless audio files or album art on the player. You will also need to change the USB connection type to MTP if not already selected on the D2+.

2 - This may signal a problem between your PC and the D2+. You might want to consider updating the firmware on the player as this should write over any bugs which have developed on your unit.

3 - You do indeed need to rip the DVD to .VOB using specific software and then convert the .VOB file into something like MPEG4 or .AVI (again you will need software for this). However, you'll only need to run the file through Cowons on converter if the file you have converted is too large for the screen and for the player to support.
